A guide for considering nanny’s salary
1. The nanny’s salary shown in the above table is just a guideline for paying salary to nannies. It is not a standard of the salary range at all. In fact, nannies salaries can vary depending on working hours, the number of children to be taken care, or childcare plus house work jobs or night time nannies. Therefore, these types of nannies are likely to get higher payment rates.
2. Some nannies might be able to speak a foreign language which is needed for some foreign families to communicate with the nannies. The salary rates will be around 1,000-2,000 Thai Baht higher than the salary ranges displayed in the above table.
3. Those nannies who are arranged from a company or a nanny centre, their salaries will be approximately 1,000-1,500 Thai Baht higher due to be charged for placement fee.
4. The above salary ranges do not yet include expenses on food or transportation (in case of day-returned nannies). Normally, the additional expenses will be paid separately to nannies by their employers.
5. Regular holiday is once a week including important public holidays such as Songkran festival, New Year Day, and Labour Day. More or less holidays may be adjusted by some families based on their agreement with nannies case by case.
6. Annual bonus and a salary increase will be considered depending on good performance and employer’s satisfaction. There is no actual rule for criteria. Generally, nannies will be adjusted 5-10% salary increased and bonus 0.5-1.5 months from the current salary if they completed one year working. |
