Toilet training for kids
Normally, toilet training should be introduced to children when they are ready about 1 ½ year of age, due to having readiness in sphincter muscle function and brain control system for hearing, sighting, smelling and touching. Moreover, children of this age begin to pay attention to their toileting. They are capable to distinguish the difference between urine and stool. Furthermore, they learn to express some symptoms as a sign of toileting request through their faces and gestures such as grabbing his crotch, moving around, double stepping for having pee. Others might deliver by words ahead that they have to go pee, unfortunately it is not in time and the accident was happened. Therefore, toilet training must start up without expressing blames, scold, disapproval and forcing him or her use potty or toilets.
Punishment is no longer applied to children anymore otherwise they will feel uncomfortable and lead to fear of toileting. As a result, this will affect to their physical and mental development. A good approach of toilet practice, on the other hand, should wait until a kid expressed a sign of toilet demand. Then, parents try to convince them sit on a potty as well as stay with him or her together with chatting. It might spend time a month to be successful. Children are no longer in diapers during the day. When they are successful toileting in potty, parents should encourage by praising them. Even though their toileting sometimes spilled out the potty, they should not be blamed. Instead parents should gently give advice for careful process next time. When children get used to using potty toilets, it is time to start moving the potty into a bathroom. They can see the atmosphere in the bathroom and finally know the toilet. After they are familiar with the toilets, buy a toilet seat for kids. Urge the kids to use it along with talking with them while they are toileting. The kids will finally have a well-toileting behavior.
