How to dress up your babies
1. Firstly, weather condition should be taken into account before choosing a dress for your baby. For example, if the weather is very hot and there is not an air-conditioned room, wearing a thin tops with a cloth nappy would be recommended than wearing a ready-to-wear nappy due to better air flow.
On the contrary, most parents will turn on an air conditioner at night for their babies. Therefore, thick tops should be put on with a ready-to-wear nappy in this case.
2. For infants aged up to 6 months, parents should consider their sleeping gestures when choose clothes for them. If the baby prefers lying supine, his/her clothes should be rope-tighten at the front. Meanwhile, those baby lies prone, his/her clothes should be rope-tighten at the back. Clothes with buttons should not be applied for babies younger than six months. It may cause uncomfortable sleeping as their stomachs might scratch the buttons. The lower parts of the baby’s body, on the other hand, can be wrapped with a cloth nappy or pants in a hot night. However, their cloth nappies need to be changed frequently when they get wet.
3. Gloves and socks are not necessary for babies at this stage. Just keep their nails short all the time to prevent babies scratching their faces. Nevertheless, some parents might prefer their babies putting on gloves and socks for nice decoration. It is suggestion to wear gloves and socks only when babies go out with their parents to avoid touching dirty items and putting into their mouths. The gloves and socks should be changed as soon as they become unclean. However, babies should not wear gloves and socks all the time because they would be able to use their fingers to touch anything for skill development
4. Most parents would like their babies to be good looking, lovely and clean. Therefore a nanny should get clothes changed for babies regularly whenever they are wet or dirty from food or milk. Beautiful dress should not only be kept for outing or special occasions, but also should be worn at home. Babies will grow up very fast. Their clothes might be seldom used and become too fit. |
